Lupicia Tea Packets. Lupicia has been like Teavanna’s edgy sister. Same quality ingredients but the flavors just POP 10x more. Not that I could ever fully replace coffee with tea. But I’ve been drinking it more and more as I’ve gotten older. If you TFFs have never tried loose-leaf steeping, trust me, it’ll change your life. The individual packets are perfect for me because I usually drink one cup max in one sitting and that way my boyfriend isn’t locked into drinking the same flavor as me. My favorite is strawberry and these teas are so flavorful that I don’t even add anything to them. It’s seriously a flavor bomb without being too floral.
Organic Blackberries. Speaking of flavor bombs, when it comes to berries, I hate being a snob like that, but organic really makes a different. There are so many pesticides and GMOs in conventionally-raised berries that I don’t even bother anymore. Plus when it comes to taste, it’s seriously night and day. Eating organic will ruin you for other berries, and usually they’re only a dollar more for the whole pack. Another dollar to avoid all the extra chemicals and poisons you’d be feeding your family? Where do I sign up? I usually try to get my berries from the farmer’s market because I prefer to know where my produce is coming from. But the supermarket has a pretty good selection too.
Mascarpone Cheese. This is my secret weapon when it comes to the most delicious frostings. I don’t really like the taste of cream cheese so I use mascarpone as a substitute in all my recipes. When you’re making frosting, just make sure not to over beat because this cheese is really delicate. It’s all the smoothness and richness of cream cheese but without the tang. When I need a quick app I just throw some one a grilled crostini with a thin slice of Italian ham and a slice of peach and you’re set. I always keep at least 2 in my fridge.
